McLelland's was established in 1910 at its current Sydney location, McLelland's lifting equipment is now the largest company of its kind in Australia.

William McLelland, the founder of the company, began business as a carrier around the Sydney region. after a few years seeing the development in Sydney taking place, he branched out into hire, offering his customers a basic range of equipment. as the range of equipment grew it became more centred around lifting an moving applications. often buying special equipment to meet requirements for unusual jobs, demand grew as the company expanded.

Have come a long way from hiring the humble horse and cart with its array of ropes & sheave blocks, to the present day with its large selection of lifting equipment:

• Hydraulic jacking equipment
• All manner of rigging and personal safety gear

The customer focus William McLelland believed strongly in, has not changed and is still the driving force behind the company.

Is still, today, family owned and operated after 3 generations. McLelland's now have a Victorian and Queensland branch with plans to move into other states.
